The Maharashtra NEET 2024 counselling Round 1 choice filling process for the medical courses apart from the MBBS and BDS courses has commenced today, September 11, 2024. The last date to fill and lock choices for these courses is September 12, 2024, 11.59 PM.

Although originally the seat matrix and choice filling processes for Maharashtra NEET 2024 counselling for these courses was scheduled to begin on September 10, it has been delayed by one day. Hence, the last date of choice filling may also get postponed.

The Maharashtra NEET 2024 counselling Round 1 choice filling process for the medical courses apart from the MBBS and BDS courses has commenced today, September 10, 2024. The last date to fill and lock choices for these courses is September 12, 2024, 11.59 PM.

The seat matrix for the BAMS, BHMS and BUMS and the BPTH, B.OTH, BASLP and B (P&O) courses have been released by the CET Cell Maharashtra, the state counselling authority.

Only those candidates who have registered for the Maharashtra NEET 2024 counselling, and have been named under the merit list, will be eligible to submit seat choices.

How to Fill Choices for Maharashtra NEET 2024 Counselling Process

Eligible candidates will have to follow the steps given below to fill and lock choices:

  • Visit the official website of Maharashtra NEET 2024 counselling - https://medical2024.mahacet.org/NEET-UG-2024/login
  • Enter Email ID/Mobile Number and password and click on Login
  • Click on the choice filling tab
  • Enter the college and course-wise seat preferences
  • Lock the choices in preferential order
  • Submit the choices

After that, candidates should take a printout of the choice filling page and preserve it till the seat allotment result is out.

The seat allotment result for BPTH, BASLP, B.Oth and B (P&O) courses will be released on September 13, 2024, and that of the BAMS, BHMS and BUMS courses will be out on September 14, 2024.

The institute reporting process for the paramedical courses will be conducted from September 14 to September 20, 2024, and for the BAMS, BHMS and BUMS courses, it will be conducted from September 15 to September 20, 2024.

Q:   What is the schedule of Maharashtra NEET counselling for this year?

A:

The total duration of Maharashtra NEET UG counselling is likely to range from three to four months. The duration for each round of counselling is of seven to 10 days. The Round 1 of Maharashtra NEET 2024 counselling dates were scheduled from August 17 to September 5, 2024. The CET Cell Maharashtra has announced the counselling dates for the other courses, namely, BAMS, BHMS and BUMS courses, and paramedical courses such as BPTH, BOTH, BASLP and BP&O, were conducted from September 9 to September 18, 2024. The Round 3 MBBS and BDS counselling is being conducted from October 9 to October 23, 2024. The AYUSH and Paramedical course counselling for Round 3 is being held from October 15 to October 29, 2024. The stray vacancy round dates for MBBS and BDS courses are scheduled from October 25 to November 5, 2024.

Q:   What is the minimum rank required to get an MBBS seat through Maharashtra NEET counselling?

A:

A General category student must secure an AIR rank of 50,000 or above to get an MBBS seat in a good college. Candidates must note that this is a predictive cutoff rank and not an absolute data. The actual cutoff data or rank will be relesed by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) after the conclusion of the counselling process for Maharashtra NEET. 

Q:   When will Maharashtra NEET UG 2024 counselling be conducted?

A:

The Maharashtra NEET UG 2024 counselling dates have been announced for the CAP Online Stray Vacancy Round, which was conducted from October 25 to November 5, 2024. The AYUSH and Paramedical course counselling for the fourth round is being conducted from October 31 to November 25, 2024.

While the second round was conducted from September 25 to October 6, 2024, the third round was conducted from October 9 to October 23, 2024. 

The Maharashtra NEET 2024 Counselling dates for Round 2 and 3 of AYUSH and Paramedical courses have also been announced, which are scheduled from September 27 to October 29, 2024.

The first round was conducted from August 17 to September 5, 2024. The registration process for MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, BPTH, BASLP and B(P&O) courses was conducted from August 17 to August 24, 2024. As of now, DTE Maharashtra conducted the Maharashtra NEET 2024 counselling Round 1 for MBBS and BDS courses till September 5, 2024. On the other hand, the counselling procss for  BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, BPTH, BASLP and B(P&O) courses is being conducted from September 11 to September 18, 2024.
