Man, Daughter Arrested In NEET Scam 2021

Varanasi police made the first arrest in the NEET solver gang case, a man and his daughter got arrested.
A man and his daughter got arrested by Varanasi police for alleged involvement in the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) scam 2021. The arrested father and daughter are residents of the Dhulai district of Tripura.
NEET solver gang case was busted by the arrest of a student of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) who appeared in the NEET 2021 as a proxy candidate for some other student.
As per the reports, during the police interrogation, the father has admitted that he had contacted some people to get his daughter admitted to the medical college and had fixed the deal at INR 50 lakh.
NEET 2021 has been remained surrounded by controversies. In September this year, CBI had found a major scam related to the exam where there was an attempt to use proxies to clear the medical entrance exam at the cost of INR 50 lakh per candidate. Moreover, eight people were arrested from Jaipur for the alleged NEET 2021 paper leak.
NEET 2021 was conducted on September 12 from 2 pm to 5 pm across 3,855 exam centres for admission to various undergraduate medical courses including BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery), MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery), BVSc & AH (Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry), and BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery).
NEET 2021 results were declared on November 1, 2021. Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and the AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC) are yet to announce the dates for NEET 2021 Counselling and students are eagerly waiting for the announcement.
