MCC to conduct common counselling for NEET PG 2021, says NBE
There will be common counselling for NEET PG 2021 for admission into MS, MD, PG Diploma and DNB courses as confirmed by NBE.
The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has stated that this year onwards MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) will conduct common counselling for NEET PG 2021 (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post-Graduation) for admission to MS (Master of Surgery), MD (Doctor of Medicine), PG Diploma and DNB (Diplomate of National Board ) courses.
Earlier, DNB courses counselling were conducted by NBE on the basis of DNB CET (Diplomate National Board Centralized Entrance Test) results. However, now MCC will be conducting this counselling along with the counselling of MS, MD and PG Diploma.
The NEET PG 2021 counselling schedule will be uploaded on the MCC website www.mcc.nic.in and the counselling will be conducted as per the schedule. The students need to register themselves at the MCC official website and also need to pay the non-refundable registration fees and refundable security deposits during the registration as per their category.
NEET PG 2021 counselling will be conducted for the following:
- 50% All India Quota (AIQ) of all states.
- 100% seats of Central Universities and Deemed Universities.
- Central institutes, VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital & ABVIMS & RML Hospital.
- All PG seats of Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions.
- DNB Broad speciality courses
NEET PG 2021 was conducted on September 11 for 19,953 MD seats, 10,821 MS seats, 1979 PG Diploma seats and 1338 DNB CET.
NBE has announced the NEET PG 2021 results and the cut off marks. The cutoff for the general category is 302, and for SC (Scheduled Castes) /ST (Scheduled Tribes)/Other Backward Class (OBC), it's 265.
