MP Budget 2023: MBBS seats to increase from 2,055 to 3,605

The first paperless budget of Madhya Pradesh was tabled by the state's Finance Minister Jagdish Devda today. MBBS seats in the medical colleges will increase from 2,055 to 3,605 in the state, announced the minister. The total budget of the state is INR 3.14 lakh crore, as against INR 2.79 lakh crore last year.

Madhya Pradesh Finance Minister Jagdish Devda tabled the state's first paperless budget today. It was announced to increase the MBBS seats from 2,055 to 3,605 in Madhya Pradesh. The total budget of the state is INR 3.14 lakh crore, which was INR 2.79 lakh crore last year.

Also, more than one lakh jobs were announced in the budget. The finance minister said that the state government has started a campaign to give more than one lakh new appointments in government service. Sant Shiromani Ravidas Global Skill Park will be set up in Bhopal. Six thousand trainees will be trained in this every year, as reported by Hindustan Times.

MP Budget 2023: More Details

INR 1000 crore has been announced for the 'Chief Minister Skill Internship Scheme' which will be implemented by the state. A provision of INR 710 crore is made for Indore and Bhopal Metro projects.

"To tackle malnutrition, INR 1000 will be deposited in the bank account of women belonging to backward tribes Baiga, Bharia and Saharia families under the Aahaar Anudaya Yojana," said the finance minister.

 The fiscal deficit is estimated at INR 55,709 crore. The government has announced the provisions of INR 277 crore for the PM Shree Yojana, and INR 1000 crore for the Mukhyamantri Krishak Vishal Jan Sahayata Yojana. The construction of 3346 cow shelters has been approved under Chief Minister Goseva Yojana.
