National Exit Test: NMC releases notice against fake letters

NMC has said that all important letters, circulars and public notices related to National Exit Test are posted on the official website only - www.nmc.org.in. It is advised to check the website of NMC to verify the genuineness of such letters.

Amid the speculations of when the National Exit Test (NExT) will be held by the National Medical Commission, the commission has issued a notice against the fake letters regarding the upcoming exam.

"As expected, @NMC_IND released a notification in response to a flurry of notifications before. We hope that at least this one makes it to the official website! Punish the people playing with mental peace of students!," reads FORDA's tweet.

"This has come to the notice of the Undergraduate Medical Education Board that a fake letter dated June 7, 2023, issued under the signature of the undersigned, is circulating in social media," said NMC in its notice. 

"It is brought to the attention of all concerned and stakeholders that there is no such letter dated June 7, 2023, issued by UGMEB of NMC regarding confirmation of upcoming National Exit Test," added the NMC's notice.

FORDA urges NMC to release NExT date well in advance

"With the dense fog around the timeline & conduct of NEXT exam, it is imperative that the schedule & rules and regulations are released well in advance and NOT JUST 30 days prior. This is very callous and irresponsible on the part of @NMC_IND. This is the first time that an entirely new exam is being held just 30 days after it’s brochure release!! @MoHFW_INDIA please take cognisance of the above and intervene immediately," says another tweet by FORDA.
