NEET 2021: Health Ministry decides to allot 5 MBBS seats to Wards of Covid warriors
Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has notified that the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has decided to allot 5 MBBS seats to Wards of COVID warriors (Deceased) who appeared and qualified NEET 2021.
NEET 2021 Counselling has 5 MBBS seats allotted for the wards of COVID warriors (Deceased) who appeared and qualified for the entrance examination, as confirmed by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
Through the latest notification, MCC has invited applications from eligible and interested candidates.
MCC's official notification reads, "It is for the information to all the candidates, who have appeared and qualified for NEET examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) that Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has decided to allot 5(five) MBBS Seats to Wards of COVID Warriors (Deceased)."
"The date for receiving duly filled in applications through DMEs/ DHSs has been extended upto 05:00 P.M of 28.03.2022 (Monday). Hence, interested candidates who claim to be eligible may send their applications through DME/ DHSs of their respective states. The applications sent directly to MCC of DGHS and after the prescribed time will not be entertained," the notification added.
MCC stated that the candidates belonging to Delhi can send their applications to the following address - Dr Poonam Panwar, CMO (NFSG) Nodal Officer (NEET Covid Warrior).
NEET 2022 notification is expected soon
While NEET 2021 counselling Mop-up Round provisional seat allotment result was declared on March 23, lakhs of NEET 2022 candidates are waiting for NEET 2022 notification to appear in the examination for admission to MBBS and BDS courses.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has not announced the NEET 2022 registration date but it is expected to start from April 1, 2022, and the examination is likely to be held in June, as reported by Times Now.
