The government may take up this option to ask medical and nursing students preparing for NEET PG 2021 to join the pandemic duty. It is expected that the government will make an official announcement today, i.e. May 3, 2021. 

NEET PG 2021: National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET PG 2021 is expected to be delayed further. According to the reports, the Indian Government is planning to encourage and utilize medical graduates and nursing students for COVID-19 duty. In order to augment human resources for managing the prevailing COVID-19 situation effectively, PM Narendra Modi on May 2, 2021, reviewed various measures including appointing medical graduates to assist the healthcare sector amid the devastating second wave of the global pandemic. The government may take up this option to ask medical and nursing students preparing for NEET PG 2021 to join the pandemic duty. It is expected that the government will make an official announcement today, i.e. May 3, 2021. The major decision to be included in today’s announcement is mentioned below.

NEET PG 2021 likely to be delayed: Government decisions

It is likely that NTA will further delay the NEET PG 2021 exam and ask the students to join COVID 19 duty. The government may also announce the criteria for financial incentives as well.

The PM chaired a high-level meeting on Sunday, i.e. May 2, as some parts of the country showed a terrifying rise in novel coronavirus cases. The healthcare sector is collapsing and it needs support. Considering the emergency situation, the government is also mulling to appoint NEET 2021 exam aspirants on COVID-19 duties.

Earlier, the government asked the Indian Army and Indian Airforce to indulge in COVID 19 duties. Indian army opened temporary hospitals, medical services, and appointed their medical staff for treating civilians.
