NEET PG 2022 Counselling: MCC adds MD/MS seats, withdraws 4 PG seats in Round 1
MCC has issued a list of MD/MS seats added to the NEET PG 2022 Counselling Round 1 seat matrix and also a list of 4 PG seats withdrawn from the counselling process.
Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has added new MD/MS seats to NEET PG 2022 Counselling Round 1.
The notification reads, "The Medical Counselling Committee has received information from following Institutes (List enclosed) about new seats which could not be contributed by the colleges before the start of Round-1 of PG Counselling 2022 as LoPs from NMC were received after the start of Round-1 of counselling. Therefore, the competent authority has decided to include the following MD/ MS seats in the seat matrix of Round 1 of PG Counselling 2022 for the larger interest of candidates. Candidates can now exercise choice filling for the newly added seats for Round1 of PG Counselling 2022 as per the list attached."
Four PG seats withdrew from NEET PG 2022 Counselling Round 1
MCC received information from some institutes to remove seats from the seat matrix of Round 1. Hence, MCC has removed it from the counselling process. These seats are- one General and one SC category seat for MD Radiotherapy/Radio Oncology (RADT) at Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal, and one SC and one ST category seat for MD (Emergency and Critical Care)/MD (Emergency Medicine) at BJ Government Medical College, Ahmedabad.
Registration for Round 1 will end today, September 23, and choice filling for this round can be done till September 25, 2022. NEET PG 2022 Counselling is for 50% of All India Quota seats while respective state counselling authorities will be conducting counselling for the rest of 50% of seats. The counselling for AIQ seats will have four rounds.
