NEET PG 2022 Counselling: MP implements NMC's fee guideline for private medical colleges
While Madras High Court has directed NMC to revisit its office memorandum which said that fees of 50% seats in private medical colleges and universities should be at par with the fees of government seats, Madhya Pradesh has implemented the NMC's guidelines.
NEET PG 2022 counselling for Madhya Pradesh seats can start anytime soon as the tentative time schedule for the MDS was given as September 14 and for All India Quota seats, Medical Counselling Committee had released a tentative schedule for counselling to begin as September 15. The latest is, as per reports, the state has implemented the guidelines by the National Medical Commission (NMC) that stated fees of 50% seats in private medical colleges and universities should be at par with the fees of government seats.
NMC bill gets implemented in MP
The state government has issued a notice that reads, "This is for information to all NEET PG 2022 qualified and eligible candidates who intend to participate in MP State Combined NEET PG Counselling 2022, that after removing 15% NRI quota seats from the total intake capacity seats of the private medical college, admissions on 42.5% of the remaining 85% general pool sets shall be at par with the prevailing annual fee of government medical college. Admission on remaining 42.5% seats shall be as per the annual fee fixed by the AFRC (Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee) or MPPURC (Madhya Pradesh Private Universities Regulatory Commission)."
All India Students Dental Association/DENTODONTICS has tweeted this notification by the MP government and said, "Finally NMC Bill implemented in Madhya Pradesh".
The implementation of NMC's memorandum in MP has come at a time when Madras High Court has directed the NMC to revisit its Office Memorandum on the matter and release a new one if needed. "However, till such exercise is completed, the present fee structure prescribed shall continue," added the Madras high court.
