Recent activity on Telegram has raised alarms, with users sharing screenshots of conversations in groups named “NEET PG Leaked Materials,” where exam papers are reportedly being offered for prices as high as ₹70,000.

With less than a week remaining before the National Eligibility and Entrance Test for Postgraduate Medical Courses (NEET PG) 2024, concerns are mounting over alleged instances of the exam paper being leaked. Scheduled for August 11, the exam's integrity is now under question following social media reports and screenshots suggesting that leaked papers are being sold on various platforms.

Recent activity on Telegram has raised alarms, with users sharing screenshots of conversations in groups named “NEET PG Leaked Materials,” where exam papers are reportedly being offered for prices as high as ₹70,000. Health activist Dr. Dhruv Chauhan highlighted these claims by posting evidence of such fraudulent activities on X (formerly Twitter). Screenshots reveal ongoing discussions about the sale of both shifts of the NEET PG exam papers.

In addition to the Telegram groups, a Medical Doctor specializing in OBGYN shared a WhatsApp conversation between a paper leak facilitator and a NEET PG 2023 aspirant, in which the aspirant thanks the facilitator for their leaked materials, suggesting that such scams may have been successful in the past.

Public reaction has been one of frustration and disbelief. One user expressed, “I don’t think there’s any more faith to be lost; it’s all gone,” while another criticized the lack of action from authorities, questioning why such scams continue unabated.

The NEET PG 2024 was originally slated for June but was postponed to August due to disruptions involving NEET UG and UGC NET exams. The UGC NET exam faced a last-minute cancellation, and NEET PG was called off just 12 hours before its scheduled date. The exam is now set to take place on August 11, with admit cards being released on August 8, detailing each candidate's exam center.

Students have also voiced their concerns about the allocation of exam centers, with some being assigned locations 800-1,000 kilometers from their homes. Despite these challenges, the National Board of Education (NBE) has affirmed that the NEET PG 2024 exam will proceed as planned.

Authorities have yet to confirm the authenticity of the leaked papers, and students are advised to be cautious and not engage with any fraudulent offers. The NBE has assured that the exam will be conducted with integrity, and students are urged to rely on official sources for information regarding their examination.
