NEET PG 2024 in March 2024; Aspirants again ask why not in May/June
NBE recently announced the NEET PG 2024 exam to be held on March 3, 2024, and once again the candidates raised the question that if the counselling process is not started earlier, what is the point in conducting the exam so early every year? Read here for more details.
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences has announced the tentative dates NEET PG 2024 exam. As per the schedule, NEET PG 2024 exam is expected to be held on March 3, 2024. Following the last few years' trend, the candidates are once again asking why to take the exam earlier when the counselling process takes months to start.
The medical aspirants have shared their views on Twitter. Here are a few related tweets.
"All over India, again colleges have internship extending till Aug 2024. And counselling cannot start before Internship of all student gets completed , making us sit for 6 months at home. WHY is this never taken into consideration while fixing NEET PG dates?," reads a tweet.
"Sir why does this happen every year, when we all know the internship eligibility date will be extended till August, counselling may occur in Sept 2024. Why NEET PG 2024 cannot be conducted in May/June? Why 6 months gap b/w exam and counselling every year?!," said another tweet.
"Instead of conducting Neet PG in March 2024, wasting 5 months of our time in confusion by starting counselling in September 2024, plz conduct exam in june 1st week 2024, release results in july 1st week, give 2 months gap and conduct counselling from sept," stated a tweet.
"no matter when u conduct exams, students cant participate in Neet pg counselling till they get an internship completion certificate & uniformly that will happen only after 11th August 2024 as 11th august 2023 was the deadline this year. So no harm in postponing exam," added another tweet.
For the last few years, this has been a trend where the aspirants want the NEET PG exam to be postponed so that they can get more time to prepare but it is every time gets rejected by the government and court.
