Dr Rohan Krishnan, Chairman of the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) has demanded that the NEET PG Counselling 2023 must start soon after the AIIMS INI CET 2023 which is being held today for admission to MD/MS/MCh and MDs courses.

His tweet reads, "Counselling of NEET PG should start immediately. Because the whole process takes two - three months. Now as INICET exams will be done tomorrow. ( all d best to all). @MoHFW_INDIA should proactively release the tentative dates for counselling to avoid academic delay."

INI CET 2023 exam is being held today, May 7, 2023, for the July session. The exam is being held in a single shift at 129 test cities across the country between 9 am to 12 pm.

NEET PG counselling 2023: More Details

Earlier, in March this year, the Federation of Resident Doctors Association (FORDA) has also written to union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya and urged him to start an early NEET PG 2023 counselling to bring back the academic calendar on track, as said by the union health minister while denying to postpone NEET PG 2023.

The exam was held on March 5 at 902 examination centres across 277 cities. A total of 2,08,898 candidates appeared in the exam. 

Prior to the examination, the candidates were demanding NEET PG 2023 exam deferment and despite huge protests by candidates, the government denied to postpone the examination. NEET PG Counselling 2023 is for admission to MD, MS, and DNB courses and the counselling process comprises registration, choice filling for college/course, seat allotment result, and reporting to the allotted institute.
