National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the NEET UG 2022 notification this month.
As per Times Now report in December last year, an official of the Ministry of Education (MoE) had said that the examination can be held in May or June 2022.
There is no official announcement regarding the examination date until now but there are speculations going on the social media platform that the examination can be held between June last and July beginning.
Dr Amit is one of the prominent figures involved in the NEET upper age limit case pending in the Supreme Court. He has tweeted, "According to reports, #NEET-UG 2022 is expected to be conducted on any Sunday between last week of June and first week of July #JEE-mains aspirants to get only 2 attempts"
Another tweet says, "#JEE-Main two times in 2022..#NEET-UG 2022, likely between June 3rd week to July 1st week. I hope people won't popped up saying "why 2, not 4". Its all to avoid admission delay as JEE-Adv after JEE-Main"
One of the related tweets reads, "According to reports, #NEET-UG 2022 is expected to be conducted on any Sunday between last week of June and first week of July"
Why NEET UG 2022 delayed?
One of the main reasons for the delay is the pending elections in various states at the beginning of the year 2022. Before the Covid-19 pandemic, the NEET UG notification used to be out in the month of October and the application process used to be held between November to December. After the Covid-19 pandemic hit India in 2020, the NEET UG schedule was delayed and for NEET UG 2022, it is expected that the exam will be conducted earlier as compared to last year but there will be a delay.
