NEET UG 2023 candidate commits suicide after appearing in exam
In yet another tragic incident of suicide, a NEET aspirant has died reportedly by committing suicide by falling from the 10th floor of a multi-storey building located in the Vigyan Nagar area of Kota, Rajasthan.
A 22-year-old NEET aspirant reportedly committed suicide by jumping from the 10th floor of a multi-storey building located in the Vigyan Nagar area of Kota, Rajasthan. The aspirant hailed from Bengaluru, Karnataka.
The incident occurred on Monday (May 8, 2023), a day after the NEET UG 2023 was held for admission to undergraduate medical courses. The police are suspecting it to be a case of suicide.
The deceased is identified as Mohammed Nasir. He died on the spot after falling. He appeared in NEET UG 2023 exam at a centre in Jaipur on Sunday and returned to Kota the next day. He had been preparing for the exam at a coaching institute in Kota for the past year, as reported by ABP Live.
Another NEET UG 2023 aspirant committed suicide on a day before the examination in Chhattisgarh's Bhilai City. As per the report of Times Now News, the candidate committed suicide by hanging himself in his rented room in the Pragati Nagar area under Newai police station limits.
Another NEET aspirant died by accident, while he was on his way to the exam centre after his motorcycle was hit by a truck in the Sarsawa area. The student was a resident of Mohalla Durga Colony and was travelling to Deoband with his friend when the accident happened.
All India JEE NEET Students Association (AIJNSA) is running a campaign to demand a second attempt at NEET UG 2023 to ease out extreme stress of NEET aspirants.

NEET 2023 exam was held in 499 cities in India and 13 cities outside India.
