NEET UG Counselling 2022: MCC adds 156 new seats in round 2

Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has added 156 new seats in the second round of NEET UG counselling 2022. The list of newly added seats is available at the official website mcc.nic.in.

MCC has released the seat detail information including the name of the state, institute name, quota, branch of medical, caste category and a total number of available seats. Candidates appearing in the second round of NEET UG counselling can check the college-wise vacant seat details and complete their choice filling in the order of preferences.

MCC also announced that the candidates of round 1 of NEET UG counselling 2022 who have not resigned till November 2 will be considered as part of round 2 and the same rules will apply to them as applicable for round 2 of counselling. 

MCC's official notification reads, "In case candidate gives consent for upgradation in round 2, participates in round 2 counselling but is not upgraded, s/he cannot resign the seat allotted in round 2 and will have to retain the seat. In such a case rules of round 2 will apply since the candidate has exercised choices and participated in round 2. There is no option of resignation if candidate is not upgraded in round-2. Round-1 joined candidates who neither participate in round 2 nor resign the seat of round 1 will be considered part of round 2 after the stipulated time."

NEET UG counselling 2022 round 2 registration

The registration process and fee payment process started on November 3, 2022, and will continue till November 7 (3 pm). The choice filling and locking process for NEET UG round 2 counselling will start soon. MCC will close the window to fill course and college preference on November 8 (11:55 pm).
