NEET UG counselling 2024 is likely to begin on July 24, 2024, at mcc.nic.in. MCC will release NEET UG counselling dates 2024 following the Supreme Court hearing scheduled on Monday.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is likely to begin NEET UG counselling 2024 on July 24, 2024. Earlier, the counselling process for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Undergraduates (NEET-UG) was supposed to begin from July 6, 024. However, the committee did not share the NEET UG counselling dates 2024 on the official website amidst the NEET UG paper leak row. At the latest turn of events, the Supreme Court will conduct the next hearing on the NEET UG controversy on July 22, 2024.
What is MCC NEET Counselling 2024?
MCC is the counselling conducting body for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats available for MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing programmes. MCC is accountable for NEET 2024 counselling for 1,09,170 MBBS, 27,868 BDS and 1,000 BSc Nursing seats across India. Besides, MCC also conducts UG medical and nursing course admission in 100% seats in deemed universities, central universities, AFMC, IP University, AIIMS, JIPMER, DU, AMU and BHU. The NEET UG counselling 2024 will tentatively be held in four rounds of counselling followed by stray rounds.

Students need to keep the following documents ready before filling NEET counselling registration form 2024:
- NEET UG Scorecard 2024
- Class 10th certificate and mark sheet
- Valid ID Proof i.e. Aadhaar/ PAN Card/ Driving License/ Passport
- Class 12th certificate and mark sheet
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- Passport size photographs
- Provisional Allotment Letter
- Any other document demanded by the authorities.

Reservation Policy for 15% AIQ Seats in NEET Counselling 2024
NEET UG counselling 2024 has a reservation policy for the 15% AIQ seats. As per the policy, 27% of seats, out of 15% AIQ seats, are reserved for OBC category candidates. Followed by 15% for SC, 10% for EWS, 7.5% for ST, and 5% for PwD candidates.
