NExT Mock Test should be free of cost, says FAIMA Chairman

After AIIMS Delhi invited applications for the National Exit Test (NExT) mock test on behalf of the National Medical Commission (NMC) by paying a registration fee of INR 2000 for the General Category, they faced huge criticism from the medical fraternity for charging a huge amount for a mock test.

Now, Dr Rohan Krishnan, the Chairman of the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) has said that the mock test or practice test should be free of charge.

"Requesting @MoHFW_INDIA @NMC_IND @aiims_newdelhi that mock test for NeXT shd be free of COST & students should be able to log in from there home computers," reads his tweet.

One of the replies on his tweet reads, "untimely Annoument of NEXTexam has already put us in choas and panic.₹2000 for mock test while for upsc it's 200 for exam can anybody listen to us,who's on side to stand with us. Are you listening ."

“Why wasting crores & lakhs of rupees in private medical college in India. Its better to go abroad. Any ways you have to give exam. Most of the private medical colleges have ghost faculties,0 opd,No clinical exposure,Affiliation issues,” says another tweet.

"UPSC Exam fee - Rs 200/JEE Mains exam fee- Rs 1000/Mock test for NEXT- Rs 2000/Isn't it an extortion of money from the student?," read another tweet.
