NTA to release NEET UG 2024 application date, official notification and exam schedule soon at neet.nta.nic.in
NEET 2024 exam will be held on May 5, 2024. There is no official announcement on the NEET UG 2024 application date yet but tentatively the application process is expected to start in the fourth week of January 2024.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to conduct the NEET 2024 examination on May 5, 2024. Every year, lakhs of candidates appear in this medical entrance examination. The candidates are eagerly waiting for NTA to announce the NEET 2024 official notification.
The Agency has not announced any official date to start the NEET UG 2024 application process, however, as per media reports, the NEET UG 2024 application can start from the last week of January 2024.
NTA revised the NEET syllabus 2024 on November 22, 2023, where a few chapters from Physics, Chemistry and Biology have been removed and a few chapters are added in these subjects as syllabus for the NEET 2024 examination.

Eligibility Criteria for NEET UG 2024
The following are the eligibility criteria for NEET UG 2024 examination:
- Candidates must be an Indian citizen. Non-resident Indians (NRI) and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are also eligible to appear for NEET.
- Candidates must have attained the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will attain the same by December 31, 2024. There is no upper age limit for NEET exam.
- They must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English subjects individually in the qualifying examination.
Steps to Fill NEET Application Form 2024
Once, the NEET 2024 application process starts, the candidates must follow the simple steps given below to fill out the application form:
- To register for the NEET UG 2024 examination, the candidates must visit the official website of NTA NEET or neet.nta.nic.in
- Click on “Fill Registration Form” or the invitation for NEET UG 2024 Registration
- Click on 'New Registration' and enter the required details
- Now login on to the official website using the application number and password
- NEET application form 2024 will be displayed on the screen
- Details entered during the registration process will be pre-filled in the application and cannot be changed
- Upload scanned images and pay the application fees
The application fee is INR 1,700 for the General Category, INR 1,600 for Other Backward Classes, INR 1,000 for Scheduled Caste /Scheduled Tribe and persons with Disability, and INR 9,500 for outside India.
