Online NEET PG Counselling 2023 from this year, says NMC

As per the orders of the Supreme Court, NMC said that MCC will conduct online counselling including for NEET PG Counselling 2023 Stray Vacancy Round from this year.

National Medical Commission said that there will be online NEET PG Counselling 2023 including for Stray Vacancy Round from this year.

"As per the orders of hon'ble Supreme Court of India in I.A. No. 132614/2022 in WP(C) 267/2017, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) of DGHS, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare shall conduct online counselling for stray vacancy round for 100% seats in Deemed Universities in UG and PG courses," says the notification by the NMC.

All the state counselling agencies are requested to make necessary arrangements for conducting the counselling in online mode, for all rounds including stray vacancy round in private medical colleges, from the academic year 2023-24. No college/institute should conduct the counselling, including the stray vacancy round, in physical mode.

"It will help in tackling the issue of seat blocking and complaints/court cases related to counselling," reads the official notification.

Registration for round 1 will start on July 27. The last date for round-1 counselling registration is August 1, up to 12 pm. Round-1 seat allotment results will be declared on August 5. Candidates will be able to declare their choice for colleges and courses for NEET PG counselling round-1 from July 28 to August 2. 

 MCC conducts counselling for the allotment of 50% All India Quota seats while respective state counselling authorities conduct counselling for the rest 50% seats. A total of 4 rounds of counselling are held for AIQ seat allotment.
