Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate 5 All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) to the nation on February 25 from Rajkot in Gujarat. The five new AIIMS comprise AIIMS Rajkot, AIIMS Mangalagiri, AIIMS Bathinda, AIIMS Raebareli and AIIMS Kalyani. 

These institutions are worth an estimated INR 6,315.2 crore. The five AIIMS institutes are set to have 4,030 beds and 500 medical seats, according to an official statement, as reported by Zeebiz.com.

Prime Minister will also inaugurate numerous new medical colleges and advanced health facilities, including Critical Care Blocks and Integrated Public Health Labs, under the Prime Minister Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM), a central government initiative aimed at strengthening the healthcare infrastructure across the country.

He will also dedicate advanced ICMR research labs and facilities to the nation as well as various National Health Mission (NHM) projects.

5 AIIMS to be dedicated to nation - details

AIIMS Bathinda is worth INR 925 and is spread over 179 acres with 750 hospital beds and a student intake of 100. AIIMS Kalyani is worth INR 1754 and it is spread over an area of 179.82 acres. Total hospital beds are 960 and medical seats are 125. AIIMS Mangalagiri was built with an expenditure of INR 1618.23, spread over 183.11 acres. The total number of seats is 125 and the hospital bed is 960. In AIIMS Raibarelli, the total number of beds is 600 with 100 students intake. The expenditure is INR 823 and it is spread over 148 acres. The fifth AIIMS, which is AIIMS Rajkot is worth INR 1195, with a total number of acres of 201, and a total number of beds 750. The student intake is 50.
