Rajasthan: 50 medical students suspended in Pali for indulging in violence on campus
As many as 50 students of a medical college in Pali got suspended for 21 days after a clash was reported on the campus.
The news of campus violence has emerged from a medical college in Pali. Here, nearly 50 medical students have been suspended for their alleged involvement in campus violence. These students are from the batches of 2018, 2019 and 2020.
Principal Deepak Verma said, "We constituted a committee to probe the incident. On the basis of the report, 48 students have been suspended for 3 weeks," as reported by Telegraph India.
The incident occurred during football match on Sunday
As per official reports, the incident of violence among students took place during a football match on Sunday which was dragged into the hostel at night and students again indulged in violence in the hostel. The clash between the students culminated during the freshers' party.
Junior students alleged ragging
The junior medicos of the college have also alleged ragging by seniors but the college administration has rebutted those allegations. The suspended students are also reportedly barred from the hostel.
What exactly happened?
As per reports, the junior students of batch 2020 threw a party for their seniors from the 2019 batch but the students of the 2018 batch were not invited, which irked them. During the football match, these students came face to face with each other, which resulted in a clash between these students. Many videos of their violence emerged on the internet which will be used as evidence.
SMS Medical College's medico found dead
A few days ago a medical student of SMS Medical College in Rajasthan was found hanging in his hostel room. The police confirmed that he was a native of Himachal Pradesh. The student named Aman Bratka was a third-year student of MBBS and as per reports, he left no suicide note behind.
