Rama Medical College PG students facing affiliation issues, thesis delays
FORDA has raised the issues of postgraduate students of Rama Medical College who are facing affiliation issues, thesis delays, and financial exploitation. Read here for more details.
FORDA has written to the health minister and urged urgent intervention in the matter of postgraduate students at Rama Medical College Hapur (UP) who are facing affiliation issues, thesis delays, and financial exploitation.
"The primary issue resolves around the college's uncertain affiliation status. Despite assurances made at the time of admissions. It is now apparent that Rama Medical College is not affiliated with any university for the 2020 PG batch. They are supposedly under the umbrella of CCS University, but the official website of CCS University doesn't recognise them. This university has caused severe distress and uncertainty among the students, putting their degrees and career prospects at risk," reads FORDA's letter.
Other issues include the college's failure to submit students' thesis to the university, resulting in significant delays and uncertainty in completing their research work and eligibility for final exams. Also, the students have faced financial irregularities including the college collecting fees without proper documentation or online exam forms. FORDA has demanded a thorough investigation into the affiliation status of Rama Medical College and taking necessary actions to resolve the uncertainty.
Streamline the process for timely conduct of their final year MD/MS exams and ensure that their academic session is NOT delayed, said FORDA. The Association has also asked the minister to address the issues of financial irregularities and fraudulent fees and engage with the students on strike, and listen to their grievances.
