SC agrees to hear plea seeking NEET PG 2022 postponement on May 13

Senior Advocate Rakesh Khanna mentioned a plea for postponement of NEET PG 2022 which is scheduled for May 21. The bench asked, do you want the postponement?

Khanna said, yes a little bit. On this the bench replied, "How can we postpone a national exam? We will list it for hearing first," as reported by Bar and Bench.

The plea cited the insufficient gap between the NEET PG 2021 counselling and NEET PG 2022 exam date.

"Some of the petitioners and aspirants are the candidates who have appeared in NEET PG 2021 and are participants in ongoing counselling process which is unlikely to get concluded by May 9, 2022 considering the roller-coster ride which they have been subjected to since July 2021. The petitioners and other thousands of aspirants are becoming victim of the system and are made to suffer for no fault of their own," reads the plea, as reported by Live Law.

The top court of India has agreed to hear the case on May 13, 2022. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 21, 2022, and the NEET PG 2022 admit cards are expected anytime soon.
