Ukraine returned MBBS students FMGL 2021 protests at Jantar Mantar today

Many Indian medical students who returned from Ukraine, batch 2021, due to the ongoing Russia and Ukraine war, have urged the National Medical Commission and government to transfer them to a safe country.

"Future of thousands of medical students (FMGL 2021) who returned from Ukraine and pursuing MBBS from Ukraine is in danger. The government saved the students from the war and won laurels but did not take any decision regarding the future of the students. Now students can't go to Ukraine; neither anywhere else; please tell us where the student should go? For this, students are reaching Jantar Mantar tomorrow on July 24, 2023, with demands from the government for their future," said the protesting students.

Earlier, in a different way of protesting, these students also sang the national anthem outside NMC's office in Dwarka. "it is a different way of protest outside the National Medical Commission office in Dwarka going on by Ukraine returned Indian medical students. Those are asked to go back to Ukraine for completion of studies and not allowed to take transfer," said the students.

"All Medical Fraternity & Media personnel r requested to help." #RussiaUkrainewar affected 2021 batch students". They can't take transfer to another foreign country due to FMGL 2021 regulation of NMC.Due to this rule they r forced to return back to War zone," reads a tweet.
