Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that within 2 to 3 years, the state will achieve the goal of having at least one medical college in each district.

UP will get medical college in every district soon, says CM Yogi

While launching as many as 233 development projects worth INR 477.46 crore in Deoria, CM Yogi Adityanath said, the state is close to achieving the vision of ‘One District One Medical College’ which remained a ‘distant dream’ for 70 years. The government will ensure the presence of proper health care and medical facilities in every district, he said.

"The upcoming Maharshi Devraha Baba Medical College in Deoria, Medical College in Kushinagar, AIIMS in Gorakhpur and medical colleges in other districts will achieve the vision of ‘One District One Medical College’ which remained illusive for seven decades. Government is determined to provide medical colleges in every district in two-three years," he added, as reported by News Room Post.

On the occasion, he distributed loan approval certificates/toolkits to farmers, provided certificates to beneficiaries of various other government schemes, and rewarded progressive farmers, Angwanwadi and sanitation workers for their extraordinary contribution. Also, he inaugurated a three-day agricultural fair and distributed citations to national and state-level players and students.

UP to start MBBS course in Hindi soon

After Madhya Pradesh, now Uttar Pradesh is all set to launch MBBS textbooks in Hindi. As per officials, the state has constituted a three-member panel to review MBBS Hindi textbooks on three subjects including biochemistry, anatomy, and medical physiology.

CM Yogi has recently announced that some of the medical and engineering books in the state have been translated into Hindi and in the coming year, the students would be able to study these subjects in Hindi as well.
