NEET PG 2023 postponement unlikely; Doctors to take legal route
Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has hinted NEET PG 2023 exam may not be postponed. The ministry has already extended the NEET PG 2023 cut off date to August 11, he further said while replying to a question in the Parliament. The exam is scheduled to be held on March 5.
NBE reopened the registration window for eligible candidates on February 9. Candidates who complete their internship from July 1 to Augsut 11 will be eligible to apply online. The deadline to submit application form for NEET PG 2023 is February 12. The decision of increasing the internship cut off date was taken amid the ongoing protest of doctors, demanding NEET PG 2023 postponement. According to latest report, the exam may not be postponed and it will be held as per the schedule, i.e March 5.
Meanwhile, protest continues for NEET PG 2023 postponment. A online petition has also been signed by around 72000 doctors. Disappointed with no breakthrough regarding exam deferment, doctors may go for legal procedures in coming days.

A meeting is expected in couple of days between Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and doctors association FAIMA. Dr Rohan Krishnan, the National Chairman FAIMA Doctors Association, has tweeted that he is likely to meet Mansukh Mandaviiya and the director of the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) at an event on Sunday.
"I am with you guys. Will try my level best. Don’t loose focus and study for exams. Shall fight till we succeed. IMA has also written to Ministery regarding postponement and is seeking appointment with @mansukhmandviya !! I am trying to unite everyone so that v win ths battle," he said in another tweet.
It is to be seen is NEET PG 2023 getting postponed this year. Last year also there was a massive protest to demand the NEET PG exam postponement but the government did not postpone it to bring normalcy to the admission cycle. Till now, NEET PG 2023 exam date is March 5, 2023.
NEET PG 2023 exam date latest news is that the doctors are protesting in a phased manner. After the FAIMA delegation failed to meet Mansukh Mandaviya, they had a Twitter storm at 4 pm on February 3, 2023, and today, February 7, 2023, they protested at Jantar Mantar. Next, the doctors association has decided to shutdown OPD services and a complete shutdown of services later on.

Doctors to take legal route against NEET PG 2023 postponement
Disappointed with the Health Ministry's decision against NEET PG 2023 postponment, doctors are planning a legal routes. NEET PG 2023: Preparation tips

While replying a question in the Parliament, Mansukh Mandaviya said that there is no point of exam postponement as they have to restore the schedule like pre covid time. Online petition for NEET PG 2023 postponement
Disappointed with no decision over NEET PG 2023 postponment, students are taking next course of action. Reportedly, over 7200 aspirants have signed the online petition on Change.org for exam deferment.
“If we give exam on 5th March and counselling happens in August..then we have to idly waste our 5 to 6 months, that is almost half a year. This will cause injustice to us and we will lose our valuable time,” the petition said.
“..Instead of wasting our time waiting for 5-6 months,we want to utilise it studying so that by mere postponing exam, counseling can be held within 1month,” the petition added.

NBE will be reopen the registration window for candidates who will be eligible for the exam as per the revised internship cut off date. The registration window will reopen from February 9, 3 pm to February 12. "Desirous candidates who are completing their internship during 01.07.2023 to 11.08.2023 and are fulfilling all other criteria as prescribed in the Information Bulletin of NEET-PG 2023 can apply for NEET-PG 2023 from 09.02.2023 (3PM onwards) to 12.02.2023 (till 11:55 PM)," the notification said.

Indian Medical Association (IMA) has written to union Health Minister for NEET PG 2023 exam postponment by 2-3 months.
