Mumbai University First Merit List 2022: CBSE, ISC students call MU admissions discriminatory

Soon after the release of Maharashtra HSC Results 2022, Mumbai University admissions 2022 began. MU First Merit List has been released today. CBSE, ISC students, teachers call the move discriminatory. 

Mumbai University First Merit List 2022: Mumbai University has released the first merit list for admissions to various colleges today on June 29. More than 2.4 lakh aspirants have registered on Mumbai University's portal for degree college admissions. Students who had applied for MU admission to various colleges can check the list through the official website, mu.ac.in.

According to the university, as the MU first merit list has been released on June 29. Post the release, students can get their documents verified and pay their fees from the next day onwards. The final date to get the documents verified is July 6 up to 3 pm. Similarly, Mumbai University second merit list will be released at 11 am on July 7 and the same procedure of verification and payment will be followed until July 13 up to 3 pm.

MU third merit list 2022, which is usually the final merit list will be released at 11 am on July 14. The verification and payment procedure for the same will continue until July 16. While MU has commenced the admission process for UG courses and has set the complete schedule. There is no update on CBSE 12th Results date or ISC Results 2022 date and time. 

What about CBSE 12^th, ISC students?

With delayed CBSE 12^th results and ISC results 2022, students are under a lot of anxiety and pressure. With the release of Maharashtra HSC Results 2022, MU decided not to wait for CBSE 12^th or ISC results despite receiving several requests from students.

Meanwhile, Mumbai University Admissions 2022 has also begun for its distance learning programmes under the Institute of Distance and Open Learning (IDOL). MU admission process commenced on June 25 and will continue until July 30. Following the development, Mumbai University Admissions 2022 is receiving a severe backlash from CBSE and ISC students. Several schools and principals have called the decision to commence UG admission discriminatory.  A circular released by MU earlier stated, "all colleges, including autonomous ones, will have to admit students only as per sanctioned intake. The colleges may get permission for additional seats to admit CBSE and ICSE board students as per college merit cut-off in due course."

ISC, CBSE 12th Results 2022 delayed; Students call MU Admissions 2022 unfair
