NEET 2021 Counselling: MCC issues notice for children of Covid Warriors

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued a notice to inform the NEET 2021 Counselling candidates that in line with the previous year, 5 MBBS seats will be allotted for the children of Covid Warriors (Deceased).

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has notified that similar to the last year, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has decided to allot 5 MBBS seats to children of Covid Warriors (Deceased).

The official notice reads, "It is for the information to all the candidates, who have appeared and qualified for NEET examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for the academic year 2021, that Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has decided to allot 5 (five) MBBS seats to children of Covid Warriors (Deceased) this year also as was done last year."

MCC, Directorate General of Health Sciences (DGHS) has invited applications from the eligible and interested children of Covid Warriors (Deceased) through respective Directorate of Medical Education (DME)/ Directorate Health Sciences (DHS) of their domicile states.

"The applications, filled in the format appended below, along with all supporting documents, duly certified by respective Directorate of Medical Education / Directorate Health Services (DHS), should be submitted to respective DME/DHS who will then forward to MCC for allotment as per NEET merit. Kindly note that duly filled applications of candidates forwarded by DME/DHS of respective states only will be accepted. Direct applications sent to MCC of DGHS will not be entertained," added the notification.

The last date for applications to reach the office of MCC of DGHS is March 17, 2022.

One seat in each of these colleges are reserved for the children of Covid Warriors (Deceased) - Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi (for Girls only), NSCB Medical College, Jabalpur, MP, JLN Medical College, Ajmer, Rajasthan, Medical College, Alapuzha, Kerala, Late Sh. Lakhiram Memorial Govt. Medical College, Raigarh, Chhattisgarh.
