As per a report published in Times Now, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to conduct the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test, NEET UG 2022, in May or June, said an official of the Ministry of Education (MoE). One of the major reasons for delay in exam is being attributed to the pending elections in several states early next year. However, there is no official announcement by the exam conducting authority, NTA, in this regard.

The official said NEET 2022 which is conducted for admission to undergraduate medical and dental courses in the country is likely to be conducted in May. Like this year, NEET 2022 is likely to continue as the single day, single session exam.

The official said the demand to conduct NEET multiple times and in computer based test or CBT format was submitted to the Ministry of Health, but no decision has been taken on the same so far. Candidates are advised to keep visiting the official website, neet.nta.nic.in, for latest updates on NEET 2022 exam.

Meanwhile, the first attempt of JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Main 2022 might be pulled off till March due to the assembly elections in five states slated to be held in February-March. The other three attempts might as well be shifted to April, May, and June subsequently.

As per senior officials of the Education Ministry, “The government has decided to conduct JEE Main 2022 in four attempts.
