After the deferment of NEET PG 2022, now NEET MDS 2022 aspirants are also demanding to postpone the examination due to an internship deadline issue.

Aspirants want NEET MDS to be postponed

A few days ago, NEET PG 2022 has been postponed by six to eight weeks and now the aspirants of NEET MDS 2022 are also demanding the same on social media platform citing the internship deadline issue.

All India Dental Student Association/DENTODONTICS has tweeted, "This is systemic injustice to Neet Mds Aspirants and it has been ignored for too long. Radical change is needed to dramatically improve. We demand justice just the same as Neet pg aspirants. #DeferNEETMDS2022 #DelayNEETMDS2022"

The Association has also sent a letter to President of DCI Dr Dibyendu Mazumdar in this regard. The letter says, "NEET MDS aspirants are in a state of dilemma and unable to concentrate on their studies due to major clamant issues i.e. the NEET MDS 2022 is going to be held on scheduled date, March 6, 2022. We are writing to you on the behalf of NEET MDS Aspirants in detail."

The letter has highlighted that last year, NEET MDS took place in December 2020 and due to this an entire year, the aspirants sat at home and the aspirants joined their colleges in November 2021 after Diwali. MDS curriculum completely depends on clinical and surgical exposure and if the exam is conducted on scheduled time then how will colleges accommodate two batches as already 1st year MDS PG's batch joined academic session w.e.f. November 2021, it added. The examination is scheduled to be held on March 6, 2022.
