The candidates are questioning the government over the delay in NEET PG 2022 counselling when the exam was conducted on time ignoring the massive protest to postpone the examination.

NEET PG 2022: Govt didn't postpone exam but delayed counselling

This year both NEET PG 2022 and NEET UG 2022 aspirants demanded to postpone their respective examinations citing insufficient time to prepare but the government chose to ignore these demands in order to bring normalcy and conducted both the exams as per the decided schedule. However, now NEET PG 2022 candidates are waiting for NEET PG 2022 counselling to be started but the schedule is still not released by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

Students are getting anxious and wondering why this delay in NEET PG 2022 counselling. Some of the tweets highlighting this delay are:

"NEET PG 2022 ISSUES •Counselling delay •Exam in 14 days from last day of counselling •Application rejection •Didn’t release centres until 6 days of exam for candidates opted others •Admit card delay •Centres allocated far far away from their respective towns #neetpg20222"

"Can you @mansukhmandviya. please justify the unnecessary delay in neet pg 2022 counselling?"

Before the examination was conducted on May 21, the aspirants tried hard to get it postponed by 40 days as the exam was coinciding with the NEET PG 2021 counselling, but nothing worked in their favour and they were left with no options but to appear for the exam.

Delay in NEET PG 2022 counselling can be due to EWS quota case in Supreme Court

Reports are coming in that the reason for the delay in releasing the schedule for the NEET PG 2022 counselling could be the pending NEET PG 2022 EWS quota case which also caused the delay in counselling last year. The case was scheduled for a hearing on August 2, 2022, but till now there has been no development in the case.

The counselling is expected to start on September 1 but still, there is no official confirmation regarding the same.
