NEET PG Counselling 2021: 109 MD, MS, PG Diploma seats available in AMU, says MCC
Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has notified that nearly 109 MD, MS, PG Diploma seats are available in Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) for NEET PG Counselling 2021.
The total postgraduate medical seats for NEET PG Counselling 2021 at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is 109 including MD (Doctor of Medicine), MS (Master of Surgery), PG Diploma seats, as notified by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
MCC conducts NEET PG Counselling for 100% seats (All India Quota seats + Institutional Quota Seats) of Central Universities including the University of Delhi, Aligarh Muslim University, Banaras Hindu University and other Central Institutes as per their eligibility conditions.
According to MCC notification, a total of 22 courses are PG courses and one is the diploma course. The PG courses available at AMU are - MD in Anaesthesiology, Biochemistry, Derm., Vene. and Leprosy/Dermatology/Skin and Venereal Diseases/Venereology, General Medicine, Microbiology, Obst and Gynae/MS Obstetrics and Gynecology, Paediatrics, Pathology, Pharmacology, Physiology, Preventive and Social Medicine/ Community Medicine, Psychiatry, Diagnosis, Radio Oncology, Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases, Pulmonary Medicine, and Respiratory Medicine, MS courses in ENT, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, MD/MS Anatomy.
The highest number of seats are available in MD General Medicine and MS General Surgery with each having 11 seats. MD in Anesthesiology has 10 seats, MD Pathology has 8 seats, MD Paediatrics and MS Orthopaedics has 7 seats each. All other courses have less than 7 seats. There is one seat in Diploma in Ophthalmology/ DOMS.
MCC of DGHS will conduct the counselling of Round 1 for All India Quota, Central and Deemed Universities, Institutes, PG DNB, AFMS between January 12 to January 21. State authorities will conduct the state counselling from January 20 to January 24.
To participate in Round 1, the candidates need to first register with MCC and then select and lock the medical college preferences from options till today, January 17. The result will be declared on January 22, before this verification of candidates would be done between January 18 to January 19 followed by seat allotment between January 20 and 21.
