NEET 2021 Seat Resignation Notice by MCC

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has stated that the resignation of allotted seats will not be applicable in or after Round 2 of NEET 2021 counselling. The seat resignation process was open for Round 1 from February 5 to February 15. However, those who have already accepted the allotted seat and taken admission, will not be able to resign at this stage.

The MCC notification states, โ€œMCC is receiving several requests from the candidates regarding the resignation of seats from allotted College/ institutes from their joined seats in 2nd round. However, it is re-iterated to all the participating candidates that no resignation are allowed once the candidate is a part of round 2 of Counselling conducted by MCC.โ€

MCC has advised the participating colleges in NEET UG counselling 2021 to abstain from accepting offline resignation. โ€œSuch vacant seats allowed through offline resignation will not be included in further rounds of Counselling,โ€ mentioned the counselling authority.

NEET 2021 Counselling Round 2 is underway. The registration choice filling and locking was conducted from February 16 to February 23. The seat allotment is being processed on February 24 and February 25. The seat allotment result for Round 2 will be released on February 26. Candidates will have to report to the allotted institutes between February 27 and March 5.

What After Round 2 of NEET 2021 Counselling

The third or Mop-up round of NEET 2021 counselling will commence on March 10 with the registration process, which will conclude on March 14. The result of the Mop-up round will be declared on March 19. The final and concluding round of NEET 2021 counselling is the Stray-Vacancy round and registration, choice filling and locking processes are not applicable for this round. The final round result will be declared on March 29.
