CBSE, CISCE Class 10, 12 students are appealing through social media sites to either cancel board exams or conduct them via online mode as COVID is far from over.

Witnessing a sharp decline in the cases of the novel coronavirus pandemic situation, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) have scheduled the conduct of CBSE 10th, CBSE 12th, ICSE and ISC term 1 exam via offline mode. However, the students across the nation are not happy with the decision. While some students have moved to the Supreme Court demanding the conduct of the exams in hybrid mode, social media platforms are flooding with the posts of thousands of students demanding the cancelation of CBSE, ICSE board exams, or its conduct in hybrid mode.

Various tweets state that CBSE and CISCE students want Class 10 and Class 12 board exams either to be canceled or held online. According to the official schedule released by the Board, The CISCE which conducts the ICSE Class 10th and ISC Class 12th annual exams will begin the term 1 exam from November 15, while the CBSE 10th and CBSE 12th term 1 exam will commence for minor papers from November 16.

The latest update state that students have moved to the Apex Court claiming that students may get infected with the COVID-19 virus while appearing for offline exam and this is a violation of β€˜Right to Health’.

Let’s take a look at some of the tweets posted by students against the conduct of CBSE and CISCE board exams 2022 via offline mode.

The majority of states across the country have reopened schools in a phased manner. The decision to commence offline classes is being taken after analyzing the COVID-19 situation in various regions. While the classes have begun offline, attendance is not mandatory. Schools have received instructions to conduct classes via both online and offline modes. Wearing masks, using sanitizers and following social distancing norms are a must for both students and staff members while attending offline classes. Many states have also made vaccination mandatory for teachers.
