Candidates studying in Class 9 and Class 10 must note that the last date to complete the online registration process for the Nagaland Pre-Matric Scholarship 2022 is until December 31 for the academic year 2022-2023.
Pre-Matric Scholarship Nagaland 2022: The Directorate of School Education, Nagaland has informed that the application process on the common scholarship portal (state portal) for Pre-Matric Scholarship Nagaland 2022 is all set to commence from November 21, 2022. Candidates studying in Class 9 and Class 10 must note that the last date to complete the online registration process for the Nagaland Pre-Matric Scholarship 2022 is until December 31 for the academic year 2022-2023. Students can apply through the website– scholarship.nagaland.gov.in.
Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme aims to provide financial support for education to Class 9 and Class 10 students under the scheduled caste (SC) category. While applying online, candidates also need to submit their educational certificates, bank account details, adhaar details and others.
The Directorate of Information and Public Relations in an official notice stated, “The last date for institutions to submission of Annexure-I (Hard and Soft) copies (which can be downloaded from the Department Website: https://education.nagaland.gov.in) to the DEO/SDEO Office is 15th January 2023. The last date for DEO/SDEO Office to submit Annexure-I (Hard and Soft Copies) to the Directorate is 30th January 2023 Students who have applied for a Pre-Matric Scholarship (Minorities) are not eligible for this Scheme. Students who have applied for Pre-Matric Scholarship (Minorities) are not eligible for this Scheme”.
Eligibility criteria for Pre-Matric Scholarship 2022 For SC Students
- The student should belong to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category.
- The student must not be availing any other centrally funded Pre-Matric Scholarship.
- He or she should be a regular student studying at government or private schools recognized by the Government.
- The tenure of the scholarship is subject to good conduct and satisfactory progress in studies including promotion from class to class every year.
- The annual income of parents or guardians from all sources should not exceed INR 2 lakhs ( both fresh and renewal.)
Pre-Matric Scholarship 2022 For SC Students: Important Points
While applying for Nagaland Pre-Matric Scholarship 2022, applicants must keep the following documents ready:
- One copy of the application for scholarship in the prescribed form.
- One copy of the passport-size photograph with signatures of the student thereon (for fresh scholarship).
- A certificate of Scheduled Tribe duly signed by an authorized Revenue Officer, not below the rank of Tehsildar.
- An income declaration by the self-employed parents or guardians, stating definite income from all sources by way of an affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper.
- A receipt in acknowledgment of the scholarship in the previous year on the form attached to the application only duly counter-signed by the Head of the institution or school concerned, if the applicant was in receipt of a scholarship under this scheme in the preceding year.
- Application completed needs to be submitted to the Head of the institution being attended or last attended by the candidates and then be forwarded by the Head of the institution to the sanctioning authority.
