The statement comes after police in Bihar lathi-charged and used tear gas shells against the aspirants of Railway Recruitment Board's Non-Technical Popular Categories exam 2021, who were staging a protest against the inaccurate exam results.

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra slammed the National Democratic Alliance government stating that a revolution will take place around the country against the oppression of youth and the arrogance of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be shattered.

The statement comes after police in Bihar lathi-charged and used tear gas shells against the aspirants of Railway Recruitment Board's Non-Technical Popular Categories exam 2021, who were staging a protest against the inaccurate exam results.

She further added "On the eve of Republic Day, see the behaviour of the police of the 'double engine' government with the students who are speaking for their rights. There will be a revolution across the country against the oppression of youth and the arrogance of the BJP will be shattered. Youth will have the right to employment."

Students have been protesting against the Railway Recruitment Board's Non-Technical Popular Categories exam 2021 result that was released on January 15 since Monday stating it as 'inaccurate exam results'.

Meanwhile, the Railways suspended the Non-Technical Popular Categories exam of 2021, a day after issuing an ultimatum to aspirants who have been protesting against the Railway Recruitment Board’s test and threatening them with a lifetime ban on employment with the Railways.

The move comes after the protest by candidates against the Railways’ decision to hold the exams in two stages turned violent and out of control. The Railways has also formed a committee that will examine the grievances of those who have passed the exams under different railway recruitment boards (RRBs) and those who have failed.

Candidates were protesting against the decision to hold the exams in two stages, claiming that the second stage for final selection amounted to “cheating” those who appeared and cleared the first stage of the RRB-NTPC computer-based test.
