Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann visits Delhi government schools, Likely to sign several MoUs

The Punjab CM and his Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal visited the Dr Ambedkar Institute of Excellence at Kalkaji. The trip also includes their visit to mohalla clinics in Greater Kailash and Chirag Enclave.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited Delhi government school along with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy CM Manish Sisodia. According to ANI, Punjab CM is likely to sign a number of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the Delhi government to replicate the National Capital’s model for health and educational facilities in Punjab.

The Punjab CM and his Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal visited the Dr Ambedkar Institute of Excellence at Kalkaji. The trip also includes their visit to mohalla clinics in Greater Kailash and Chirag Enclave.

Mann will later visit the Kautilya Government Sarvodya Bal Vidyalaya in Chirag Enclave. The Punjab CM along with Arvind Kejriwal will also inaugurate a newly constructed swimming pool at the government school.  Bhagwant Mann will also inspect the health facilities at the Rajiv Gandhi Hospital in Dilshad Garden.

Bhagwant Mann through his official Twitter handle said, Visited the School of Excellence with Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal ji. The education revolution of Delhi is discussed all over the country. We will also make the government schools of Punjab such a model where children of rich and poor will be able to study on one bench. Similarly, the country will move forward by learning from each other.”

Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer, Cabinet Minister Government Of Punjab tweeted, “Every child has the right to a quality education. Punjab will also be a part of the education revolution that has emerged from Delhi. We are committed to change the face of government schools in Punjab so that our children too can make a name for themselves in government schools.”

To help Mann understand the prevalent models in both these sectors in Delhi, Senior officers from the School Education Department and the Health and Family Welfare Department have accompanied the Punjab CM.
