REET Certificate Validity Extended for Lifetime: Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot
REET Certificate validity has been extended by Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot from 3 years to a lifetime. REET scores will now remain valid for life.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has extended the REET certificate validity for life. Earlier, the REET certificate was valid for three years from the date of declaration of results. The decision regarding the REET validity extension was taken during the Rajasthan State Cabinet meeting held at the Chief Minister’s residence on March 12, 2022.
CM Gehlot announced the decision of the State Cabinet to extend the REET validity for a lifetime through a series of tweets on his official Twitter handle. The State Cabinet also decided for the direct recruitment of Rajasthan Primary & Upper Primary Level teachers.

Has RBSE notified about the extension of REET Validity?
No, there is no official notification from the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) on the extension of the REET validity yet. It is likely that the RBSE will soon release an official update regarding the same on its official website.
REET Certificate validity extended: How will it be beneficial for candidates?
The extension of REET certificate validity for life will be highly beneficial for the unemployed youth of Rajasthan. The decision is expected to increase employment opportunities for aspirants who look forward to getting a teaching job in Rajasthan schools.
Direct recruitment of Rajasthan Primary & Upper Primary Teachers
The State Cabinet also decided to amend the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Rules, 1996 to change the Rajasthan Primary & Upper Primary Teacher recruitment process. The cabinet decided for the direct recruitment of Primary and Upper Primary teachers in the state on the basis of merit of marks obtained in the competitive exam conducted by the authorised agency. Until now, this recruitment drive was carried out based on the REET scores.
