RRB Group D 2021 exam date announced; check details here

Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have finally announced RRB Group D 2021 exam date after almost two years. The first stage CBT exam will commence from February 23 subject to the prevailing conditions and government guidelines issued from time to time in view of COVID-19 pandemic. Like RRB NTPC, the exam for RRB Group D will also be conducted in multiple phases and shifts. The link to view and download exam city, date, and travelling authority for SC/ST candidates will be made available 10 days prior to the exam. The admit card will be made available four days prior to the candidate’s scheduled CBT.

The application forms of a total of 4,85,607 candidates were rejected on the ground of invalid photographs or signatures. For such candidates, a modification link will be made live from December 15 to 26, so that they can re-upload their photographs and signatures. In this process, the candidates whose applications are found to be accepted will be scheduled in the subsequent phases of the CBT 1 exam of RRC 01/2019.

RRB Group D 2021 notification was released on February 23, 2019, to fill up a total of 1,03,769 vacancies. RRBs have received a total of 1.15 crore applications for the exam. According to the notification, the exam was scheduled to be conducted in September-October 2019. However, it was not held as per the schedule. It was again expected that the exam will take place from April to June 2021, but, due to the rise in COVID-19 cases, it was postponed.
