RRB Group D 2021 will be conducted in two stage CBTs. Exam pattern for CBT 2 has been released. Assistant Pointsman post have been changed to Pointsman. Read below to check the revised vacancies and selection process.

Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have revised the selection process and exam pattern of RRB Group D 2021. In view of the large number of applications, railways have decided to conduct two stages Computer Based Test (CBTs)-CBT 1 and 2. Earlier, single stage CBT was scheduled to be conducted. Now, two CBTs will be conducted like RRB NTPC exam.

The first stage CBT will be conducted from February 23 in multiple phases subject to the COVID-19 conditions. Candidates 15 times the number of vacancies will be selected for the second stage CBT. The admit card is expected to be released by February 19.

RRB Group D Exam Pattern for CBT 2

The syllabus and distribution of questions will remain same as CBT 1. The syllabus will be of Class 10 standard.

Selection Process for Document Verification

Based on the performance of candidates in CBT 2 subject to qualifying in PET, the number of candidates to be called for document verification will be equal to the notified number of vacancies in the ratio 1:1. Earlier, it was based on the performance of candidates in CBT subject to their qualifying in PET, candidates 1.05 times (number of extra candidates to be called for Document Verification shall be 5 per cent beyond the number of notified vacancies) the number of vacancies will be called for Document Verification as per their merit and options.

Assistant Pointsman Post Revised

Railways have also changed the designation of Assistant Pointsman mentioned in the detailed notification of RRB Group D to Pointsman.
