Amid the student protest, National Thermal Power Corporation has urged Railway Ministry to rename its RRB NTPC exam name and said that it has been caught in the crossfire. Read this article below for more details.

National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Limited has urged the Ministry of Railways to rename its RRB NTPC exam. β€œThis is with reference to the recent protest in some parts of the country with respect to Railway Recruitment Board Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC RRB) exam of Indian Railways. Use full form of the Railway Recruitment Scheme in your statements so that this misconception is not carried on creating wrong impression amongst the users of social media and also public at large,” the letter written by NTPC to Ministry of Railways states.

β€œWhile we are confident that the Railways are taking all necessary steps to address the situation, we just wish to bring to your notice that NTPC Limited has inadvertently been caught in the crossfire. The abbreviated form of NTPC is being used, which gives the impression that the exams are linked to India’s largest power producer. We would therefore urge you to kindly rename these exams so that no confusion is created in future,” the letter further reads.

According to media reports, Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi has chaired a high-level meeting to discuss regarding RRB NTPC and RRB Group D exams.

Meanwhile, RRBs have activated the link to register concerns against RRB NTPC CBT 1 results and introduction of CBT 2 in RRB Group D exam. The link to register concerns is available till February 16. The high-power committee, constituted by Ministry of Railways, will submit its report by March 4.
