• Aspirants are not allowed to appear in the examination after the scheduled gate closing time. Therefore, aspirants must plan to reach half an hour before the mentioned time.
• It is advised for the candidates to carry an extra copy of the SSC JE admit card along with a compulsory hard copy of the same.
• Aspirants who have distorted photos printed on their admit cards are advised to carry two passport-size photographs. However, generally while leaving for the exam, carry two extra photos to be on the safe side.
• At the time of leaving for the exam center always carry your original ID proof along with a photocopy of the same. But while carrying an identity card, ensure that all the details on your government ID card match your SSC JE admit card. Otherwise, you might be stuck in trouble.

• Negative marking in the SSC JE Paper will deduct 0.25 marks for each of the wrong answers. The negative marking will have implications on the total score of the candidate. The candidates will lose a mark for every four wrong answers. It means that if of five answers, four are wrong, there will be no marks gained from those five questions. So the simplest way to reduce the impact of negative marking is for the candidates should avoid guessing the answers and mark only those answers where they know the right answer fully.
• In case the candidate doesn’t know the answer, he can use the elimination process to arrive at the right answer. However, it requires more knowledge of all the fields to implement the elimination process. The candidates must know about all the given options to eliminate the incorrect options.
