UPSC Rejected Application List 2023: 80 Candidates' Applications Rejected, See Revival Steps

UPSC released the list of CSE 2023 applications rejected due to the non-submission of fee. The list contains the names of 80 such candidates whose applications were rejected. Such candidates can send the proof of submission of the UPSC CSE 2023 application fee to the Commission by March 17 to revive their application. UPSC 2023 applications were closed on February 21. The UPSC 2023 application correction facility was started on February 22 and the candidates were allowed to make only certain corrections in the UPSC 2023 application till February 28. The UPSC CSE Prelims 2023 is scheduled to be conducted on May 28.

UPSC rejected the CSE 2023 applications where the application fee was not submitted as per the category of the candidate. The UPSC released the CSE 2023 notification on February 1. The applications were closed on February 21. The Commission provided 20 days for filling out the UPSC CSE 2023 application. This was the first time in recent years that the Commission did not provide the application withdrawal facility. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released a new notification announcing the rejection of the applications of 80 candidates. These candidates have applied for the UPSC Civil Service (Preliminary) Exam 2023 but due to non-payment of the fees their applications were rejected.  The UPSC 2023 application correction facility was started on February 22 and the candidates were allowed to make only certain corrections in the UPSC 2023 application till February 28. The UPSC CSE 2023 is scheduled to be conducted on May 28. 

The commission in the notice stated that "since the confirmation has not been received from the bank authorities regarding the payment of INR 100 in respect of the 80 candidates for the UPSC Exam 2023, their application has now been rejected."

However, aspirants should not get disheartened as the commission has said that it will entertain the appeal against the rejection within ten days; i.e. until March 17, 2023." In order to appeal against rejected candidates will have to submit the documentary evidence of: 

1. The system generated challan (in original), in case the fee has been paid/ deposited through cash mode in SBI
OR 
2. Copy of the debit/ credit card statement of Bank account statement as the case may be, in case the fee has been paid through debit/ credit card or through internet banking of authorized banks. The copy of the statement should be duly authenticated by the bank authorities.

The UPSC conduct the Civil Service Exam every year to recruit candidates for the coveted All-India Services and Central Civil Services.
