UPSC Toppers 2022 Rank 2 Garima Lohia Details

UPSE announced the Civil Services Exam Result 2022 on May 23, 2023. Garima Lohia secured the second rank in the UPSC final list. She is a graduate of Commerce from Kirorimal College, University of Delhi, and secured second rank with Commerce and Accountancy as her optional subject. Read here for more details.

The Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2022 was conducted on June 5, 2022. A total of 11,35,697 candidates applied for this examination, out of which 5,73,735 candidates actually appeared in the examination. Union Public Service Commission released the UPSC CSE result 2022 yesterday at the official website - upsc.gov.in.

A total of 13,090 candidates qualified for appearance in the Written (Main) Examination which was held in September 2022, 2,529 candidates qualified for the Personality Test of the examination, and a total of 933 candidates (613 men and 320 women) have been recommended by the Commission for appointment to various Services. Among the finally qualified candidates, the top four are women candidates.

Garima Lohia secured the second rank in the UPSC final list. She is a graduate of Commerce from Kirorimal College, University of Delhi, and secured second rank with Commerce and Accountancy as her optional subject.

Notably, Garima accomplished this remarkable feat without the assistance of any coaching. "I feel very blessed and lucky to have been able to see this day. I am very happy," says the UPSC topper.

Garima, who hails from the quaint town of Buxar in Bihar, talked about her UPSC journey. She was determined to crack the exam and make her mark in the civil services. This was her second attempt, and she left no stone unturned in her pursuit of success.

Despite facing personal challenges, such as the unfortunate loss of her father, Narayan Prasad Lohia, four years ago, Garima remained resolute and committed to her goal, as reported by India Today.

UPSC Answer key

The UPSC CSE Final Answer Key 2022 is expected to be release soon on the official website. The commission releases the official UPSC CSE prelims answer key after the result. Now, the commission is expected to release the answer key of the exam conducted on June 5 last year. The candidates can compare their answers with the answer key released by the commission.

UPSC Cutoff 2022

After the results are released, UPSC is expected to release the UPSC Cutoff 2022 soon on the official website. The UPSC releases the CSE Cutoff for prelims and main exams separately. The Commission releases the UPSC Cutoff for all the categories.
