NEET Counselling 2021: SC to hear today pleas challenging OBC, EWS reservation in AIQ

Supreme Court to hear today the pleas challenging the 27% OBC and 10% EWS reservation in AIQ for admission into the undergraduate and postgraduate medical courses in India.

The top court of India had scheduled the hearing of the pleas today challenging the Central government's decision to provide 27% reservation for the Other Backward Class (OBC) and 10% for (EWS) Economically Weaker Section in All India Quota (AIQ) seats for all undergraduate and postgraduate medical and dental courses admission through National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET).

The NEET PG Counselling 2021 is on hold due to the pending court decision. The counselling for 50% AIQ seats was earlier to start on October 25, but now the Centre has assured the Supreme Court that it will wait for Court's judgement on the reservation before starting the counselling process.
