Uttarakhand government has announced that it has decided to keep schools closed for all classes until January 31. On January 22, the Uttarakhand government has released new COVID-19 guidelines starting night curfew from 10 pm to 6 am, market timings, public gathering restrictions and other details.
Uttarakhand school closure has been extended for the second time considering the spike in COVID-19 cases. At present Uttarakhand has a weekly positivity rate of 16.87 per cent and the number of COVID-19 cases is increasing. The poll-bound state is taking all precautions to curb the transmission of infection.
Meanwhile, online classes would continue for all schools and anganwadi centres in Uttarakhand. Schools have also received directions to continue with online classes and chalk out plans accordingly for everyone's benefit.

School closure:
All schools up to Class 12 are closed till January 31 and students will attend classes in online mode only.
Night Curfew:
A night curfew has been imposed from 10 pm to 6 am.
Market timings:
All markets are only allowed to open from 6 am to 10 pm.
Social gathering:
All gyms, shopping malls, cinema halls, salons and other public gathering areas will incorporate only 50% crowd following all COVID-19 precautions.Sports stadium will also have 50 per cent occupancy.
Political rallies:
No political rallies and gatherings are allowed in the state till January 31.
