We are aspiring for academic and research excellence, we must learn from best practices and improve upon those, says BHU Vice-Chancellor Professor Sudhir Kumar Jain.
Banaras Hindu University (BHU) introduced the BHU Excellence Exposure Program (BEEP), operating under the Institution of Eminence scheme. It presents an exclusive opportunity for a group of three to five members to visit India's top 10 institutions in their respective fields. BEEP's objectives include studying and adopting best practices, fostering connections for future collaborations, and identifying innovative approaches for implementation within BHU.
The scheme also provides for recognizing exceptional contributions and nominating outstanding participants for future visits to top institutions of the world, fostering continuous learning and international exposure.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sudhir Kumar Jain said the scheme opens new paths of professional growth for BHU’s faculty members and officers. “If we have to excel as an institution, we must learn from the best practices elsewhere and adapt those for our universities. This scheme is one of many such endeavours that are aimed at achieving excellence at BHU”, said Prof. Jain.
Prof. Sanjay Kumar, Coordinator IoE, mentioned that upon program completion, participants are expected to formulate a comprehensive plan integrating identified best practices at BHU. Emphasizing alignment with BHU's strategic goals, this initiative aims to enhance overall institutional excellence, ensuring the effective incorporation of valuable insights gained during the program.
The university remains dedicated to achieving excellence in academia, research, and administration, as evidenced by its ongoing commitment to the growth and development of its members through diverse initiatives, said the official statement.
