CUH International Day of Yoga event was presided over by CUH’s Vice Chancellor Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Prof. Sushma Yadav, Pro-Vice Chancellor; Prof. Suneel Kumar where Dr. Narayan Prakash Giri, Dean, Department of Yoga and Naturopathy, Om Stirling Global University was the guest of the event. 

Central University of Haryana Celebrates 10th International Day

Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh celebrated the 10th International Day of Yoga with full enthusiasm. Students, teachers, scholars, staff members and villagers did several yoga sessions. The event was presided over by CUH’s Vice Chancellor Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Prof. Sushma Yadav, Pro-Vice Chancellor; Prof. Suneel Kumar and other dignitaries. Dr. Narayan Prakash Giri, Dean, Department of Yoga and Naturopathy from Om Stirling Global University was the chief guest of the event. 

The Vice Chancellor of the university Prof. Tankshwar Kumar wished everyone on the International Day of Yoga and said that today, we all want a disease-free healthy life. For which it is required to be physically and mentally healthy. This is possible only through practicing yoga. Further, he mentioned that today, the we all are realizing the importance of yoga and as a result of the same, the practice is contacting the entire world precinct through the International Day of Yoga.

The students of the Department of Yoga urged everyone to practice yoga and talked about the Ministry of AYUSH’s protocol concerning the benefits of yoga. 

The chief guest of the event Prof. Narayan Prakash Giri from Om Stirling Global University shared his insights about a healthy body and healthy mind saying “A person needs to be healthy to achieve any goal. For a healthy body, a balanced diet, regular exercise, external and internal hygiene and rest are essential. Yoga shows the way to live a healthy life physically and mentally and it is a means for which one does not need to spend much financially.” 

At the end of the program, the Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sushma Yadav and Chief Guest Prof. N.P. Giri awarded certificates to participants in yoga camps and various programs organized by the University.
