Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) is an all-India level entrance exam conducted in order to provide admission to candidates in different courses offered at UG, PG, and PhD levels. A total of ten central universities and one institute (mentioned below) accept CUCET exam scores to offer admission to aspirants in courses offered under streams such as Science, Management, Commerce, Humanities, Law, Teaching, Hotel Management, and Mass Communication.

The coordinating university for each year conducts CUCET exam typically in the month of May. CUCET 2018 exam dates have not been declared yet. However, given below are tentative CUCET exam dates for the reference of candidates.

CUCET Application Process
Candidates seeking admission at central universities via CUCET 2018 can apply for the exam in the online mode as per the steps mentioned below:
Step 1: Visit CUCET Website
To start with, candidates can visit the official website of CUCET exam and click the “Apply” button present on the Home page. On clicking the link, a new page will open. Thereafter, candidates need to apply for the course level (UG, PG, MPhil/ PhD) in which they wish to secure admission by clicking on the “Apply” button again. On clicking the link, application form will open on the screen.
Step 2: Fill CUCET Application Form
Details that candidates need to fill in CUCET 2018 application form are as follows:
• Personal details: This section requires candidates to enter information like their name, email ID, phone number, and date of birth. Candidates also need to choose a password for themselves at this stage. Thereafter, candidates need to click on the “Save & Proceed” button following which other sections will appear on the screen.
• Qualifying exam details: In this section, candidates need to enter their qualifying exam details such as name of board/ college, passing year, marks obtained, and percentage scored.
• Address for correspondence: Here, candidates need to enter their address that will be used for any communication regarding the exam.
• Exam centre: Next, candidates need to choose the examination city in which they wish to appear for the exam.
• Declaration: Candidates need to click on the checkbox present in the declaration box and click, “Save & Proceed”. Candidates will be redirected to the next stage of application process.
Step 3: Upload Photograph and Signature
At this stage, candidates need to upload their scanned photograph and signature as per the prescribed specifications (Photograph Size: 10KB – 100KB, Signature Size: 5KB – 20KB).
Step 4: Select Courses and Universities
Here, candidates first need to select any three universities in which they wish to secure admission. Thereafter, candidates need to select any three courses in each university for which they wish to apply. Once selected, candidates can click on the “Save & Proceed” button.
On clicking the button, the preview of application form will open on the screen. At this stage, candidates can edit the form by clicking on the button, “Edit Application” if they wish to change any information provided in the application. Else, candidates can click on the “Submit & Make Payment” button present on the page.
Step 5: Pay CUCET Application Fee
Candidates can pay CUCET 2018 application fee in the online (net banking/ credit card/ debit card) or offline (SBI Challan) mode. It may be noted that candidates’ application fee status (paid/ not paid) will appear on the form.

Once the fee is successfully paid, CUCET application process will be complete.
Note: If candidates wish to apply at more than three universities, they can do so by logging in to their account and clicking the link, “Do you want to add more courses? Kindly, click here.” However, such candidates need to pay the application fee again.
