The CUET result 2023 was announced on July 15, and candidates can now access their scorecards on cuet.samarth.ac.in. The competition for undergraduate (UG) admissions for 2023-24 academic year is expected to be exceptionally challenging, with over 22,000 students achieving a perfect 100 percentile in the CUET UG 2023 exam.

Comparing to the previous year, the number of candidates who attained 100 percentile increased from 21,159 to 22,836, highlighting the intensifying competition. Furthermore, an impressive 2.54 lakh candidates fall within the percentile range of 95 and above, representing a rise of nearly 45,000 individuals compared to the previous year.

CUET Result 2023 Analysis: 95-100 percentilers

  • This year witnessed four candidates achieving 100 percentile in six subjects, compared to 13 candidates in the previous year.
  • 22 candidates secured a perfect score in five subjects
  • The number of students achieving 100 percentile in four subjects rose from 158 to 195.
  • The surge in high-scoring candidates is particularly notable in subjects such as biology/biotechnology, economics, and accountancy.
  • Number of students scoring 100 percentile in biology/biotechnology jumped from 1,319 in 2022 to 4,850 this year.
  • Economics witnessed an increase from 1,187 to 2,836
  • Accountancy rose from 478 to 1,074.
  • Other subjects like mathematics, history, physics, and political science also experienced significant increases.

However, there was a decrease in the number of high scorers in subjects like English, sociology, psychology, and computer science. Nonetheless, this should not raise hopes for a substantial drop in merit cut-offs, as the number of candidates scoring 95 percentile and above has risen across various subjects.

Although English still boasts the highest number of candidates achieving 100 percentile (5,685), this figure has decreased from 8,236 in 2022. Nevertheless, popular subjects like biology, economics, history, mathematics, chemistry, and business studies have witnessed an upward trend in scores.

The analysis of CUET 2023 results reveals an impressive surge in scores, indicating a highly competitive environment for college admissions. Prospective students and institutions will face the challenge of adapting to the increased competition and setting higher merit cut-offs to ensure a rigorous selection process.
